Oksana Ivanovna Bayrak is a Ukrainian film director, screenwriter, actress, producer, television presenter, and singer-songwriter. She was born on February 16, 1964, in Simferopol. In 1985, she graduated with a degree in defectology from the A. M. Gorky Kyiv Pedagogical Institute, after which she worked for two years as a speech therapist. In 1991, she earned a second degree, graduating from the directing department of the I. K. Karpenko-Kary Kyiv State Institute of Theatre Arts. She produces several feature films and television series a year, earning her the nickname "the queen of melodrama." She is the owner of Studio Bayrak, the largest production studio in Ukraine. In 2007, Oksana Bayrak became a laureate of the IV National Film Business Award of Ukraine in three nominations: "Best Domestic Film" (for the film "Aurora"), "Best Website for a Film" ("Aurora") and "Person of the Year in the Film Business".
