Lyusyena Ivanovna Ovchinnikova (September 10, 1931, Olevsk, Zhitomir Oblast, Ukrainian SSR, USSR – January 8, 1999, Moscow, Russia) was a Soviet and Russian theater and film actress; Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1973). Lyusyena Ovchinnikova's film debut was a seamlessly portrayed role of the village girl Nyurka Makarova in the film "Father's House" (1959), directed by Lev Kulidzhanov. Her role as Katya in the film "Girls" (1961), directed by Yuri Chulyukin, brought her nationwide popularity. In this film, Ovchinnikova's character Katya performed a duet with Nikolai Pogodin's character, Sasha the accordionist, the song "Old Maple" by composer Alexandra Pakhmutova and poet Mikhail Matusovsky, which later became popular.
